Job Summary
Maintain and repair buildings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing, and fire systems. Complete all service requests and work orders within 24 hours, then accurately log assigned tasks. Manage vacant apartments by preparing them for lease through maintenance, painting, and cleaning. Replace worn parts on department equipment and assist in ordering supplies. Clean internal and external building areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and window washing. Requires EPA or HVAC certification, supervisory experience, and proficiency with property management software.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, or GED equivalency
- Minimum of 2-3 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community
- EPA I or II certification
- Universal or HVAC certification
- CPO Certification
- Experience maintaining pools
- Supervisory experience
- Thorough understanding of electrical systems
- Thorough understanding of plumbing systems
- Thorough understanding of HVAC systems
- Thorough understanding of carpentry
- Thorough understanding of landscaping
- Thorough understanding of painting
- Thorough understanding of cleaning
- Thorough understanding of appliances
- Thorough understanding of utilities
- Thorough understanding of elevators
- Thorough understanding of fencing/gates
- Thorough understanding of fire systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software
