Maintenance Technician - Amistad Elementary and Elm City

Job Summary
Inspect daily grounds, building structures, roofs, and common areas prior to student arrival, immediately correcting any safety concerns. Complete all corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs, while maintaining accurate logs and work order systems. Respond to after-hours emergency calls within one hour and notify the Facility Manager of tasks beyond your skill set before beginning. This role supports Amistad Elementary and Elm City facilities, requiring a valid driver's license and 3-5 years of building maintenance experience. Weekly hours are 40, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Trade School or related experience in above fields
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Background Check
- MVR check
- drug screen
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints
- Electrical (low and high voltage)
- Plumbing
- HVAC (including Air Handlers)
- VAV boxes and associated controls
- Temperature control work
- Pneumatics and control work
- EMS
- Motors
- Lighting
- Fire alarm system associated in running office
- Lamp and ballast replacement
- Painting
- All general maintenance work
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance preferred
