Job Summary
Install and maintain production and facility equipment while performing emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service. Execute mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair, including basic welding with arc and MIG machines. Read operating and parts manuals to create work orders in the Odyssey CMMS, then diagnose problems, replace parts, and test adjustments. Conduct preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, including hydraulic, pneumatic, water, and sewer plumbing functions. Use hand and power tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment to detect faulty operations and report hazards. Operate mobile equipment and cranes as necessary, while adhering to safety rules and keeping work areas clean. Requires minimum five years of maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience or experience and training equivalent
- Mechanic skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment and facilities
- General knowledge of electricity
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Basic welding skills using arc and MIG welding machines
- Ability to read and interpret equipment operating manuals, parts manuals and work orders
- Ability to use a computer to access CMMS (Odyssey)
- Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
- Ability to perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Ability to perform a variety of hydraulic, pneumatic, water and sewer plumbing maintenance functions
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices, electric meters and material handling equipment
- Ability to climb and work in high areas (manlift, stairs and ladders)
- Ability to operate mobile equipment and crane
- Knowledge of safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety
