Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep and physical integrity of apartment communities, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment. Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, diagnosing and performing minor repairs, preventive maintenance, maintaining grounds, coordinating inventory and repairs, and assisting the maintenance team to ensure resident comfort and security. Must communicate with staff, vendors, and residents; safety-focused with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance systems, and hazardous materials handling; requires 40-hour work week with on-call shifts and weekend schedule; high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience; EPA refrigerant certification preferred or willing to obtain within 180 days; background check and drug screening required; opportunity for career advancement and comprehensive benefits in a team-oriented environment in Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED or Accredited Vocational School Certificate education or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience in apartment or building maintenance, property maintenance, construction trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.), and/or related fields
- EPA Certification for Refrigerant preferred, or willingness to obtain within 180 days of hire (paid by employer)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Background check and drug screening as required by policy
