Job Summary
Maintain optimal functioning of building systems including fire/life safety, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing in parish facilities. Responsible for grounds keeping activities like landscaping, snow removal, and trash maintenance. Perform repairs utilizing skills in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, masonry, and painting. Supervise outside contractors, maintain parish machinery, clean facilities, and support setup for activities. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma, 3 years of experience in maintenance, and knowledge of power and hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, GED or equivalent
- Trade school classes
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance or a related field
- Basic knowledge and experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of power and hand tools
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience in building maintenance systems
