Job Summary
Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance, including plumbing, electrical repairs, light carpentry, painting, and glass replacements. Ensure major repairs reach the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager promptly while conducting periodic property walks and recurring apartment inspections. Check and replace exterior lighting regularly, monitor utility meter cut-offs, and maintain HAZCOM standards with current SDS sheets. Uphold safety standards, observe community conditions, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Adhere to company policies, Fair Housing, and EPA/OSHA regulations. Work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and weekend flexibility at $25 to $27 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience in maintenance
- Plumbing and electrical repairs
- Light carpentry
- Glass and screen replacements
- Unit turns
- Painting
- Monday through Friday work schedule
- Some flexibility to work overtime and weekends
- Maintains and communicate HAZCOM standards
- Maintains thorough knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA/OSHA regulations governing proper storage and/or management of hazardous materials including solvents, flammables, caustics, and refrigerants
- Maintains awareness of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanout
- Keeps up to date on current bid and contract approval processes
- Maintains a drug free work place
Desired Qualifications
- Computer skills desired
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
