Job Summary
The Hotel Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventative maintenance across hotel facilities, addressing guest service requests and conducting repairs to ensure safe, welcoming operations. Responsibilities include inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces; executing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry tasks; implementing a preventative maintenance schedule; ensuring safety compliance and proper handling of tools; operating maintenance equipment; maintaining accurate task records; and coordinating with housekeeping and front desk teams to minimize guest disruption while preserving facility functionality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in general maintenance or related field (hospitality preferred)
- Skills: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain maintenance equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
