Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines while troubleshooting malfunctions and fabricating repair parts. Conduct regular inspections using measuring instruments to identify dimensional changes and adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Collaborate with production workers to coordinate maintenance schedules, inform teams of routine techniques, and monitor compliance to control downtime. Maintain equipment inventories and complete daily maintenance paperwork and setup procedures while adhering to GMP and safety regulations. Based in Merced, CA, this role requires 1+ years of mechanical and electrical repair experience in a food production environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 plus years' experience working in warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing
- 1 plus years' experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair
- Education/certification in the use of mechanical tools, industrial electrical, PLC, VFD, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Proven experience as a maintenance electrician, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
- Basic understanding and/or experience of electrical blueprints, PLC, VFD, refrigeration- glycol system, boilers, fabrication, welding, gearbox, pumps, sprockets, chains, pullies, and conveyors
- Familiarity with equipment and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform maintenance duties for extended periods
