Job Summary
Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on production machinery at the Dry Ice facility in Star, MS. Conduct daily inspections to ensure proper operation and safety, collaborating with supervisors on repair functions and reporting hazards or quality deficiencies. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks, enter data into maintenance and inventory systems, and complete general clean-up tasks including sweeping, washing, and trash removal. Requires at least three years of production maintenance experience, formal training in industrial systems or hydraulics, and ability to work in a noisy environment with elevated CO2 levels. Schedule includes 7:00 am to 7:00 pm shifts with one weekend day for coverage and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent (GED)
- Three (3) years experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a maintenance capacity
- High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment
- Formal training in one or more of the following: General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical Systems, PLC Programming, Industrial Refrigeration, Compressors, Pneumatics
- At least one day available to work on weekends
- Ideally, you are comfortable with the routine lifting of items weighing at least 50 pounds
- Using hand tools safely and effectively
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work overhead
