Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Complete routine maintenance and repair work orders for residential units, common areas, and building systems, covering plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances. Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotations as required. Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, identify safety concerns, and document all findings in the maintenance management system. Follow all safety policies, use required PPE, and verify operation of smoke and CO detectors. Report leaks, mold-related growth, and hazardous conditions immediately. Maintain organized tools and provide courteous service to residents and staff while supporting senior technicians.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, access mechanical spaces, and work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as required

Desired Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred
  • Trade School Certification a plus
