Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble mechanical components for industrial equipment and machinery while utilizing precision measuring devices like calipers and micrometers. Execute capital and continuous improvement projects throughout the Winchester, Kentucky operation, requiring experience in welding, preferably with certification. Troubleshoot, solve problems, and lead improvement efforts in a collaborative team environment, reading and interpreting machine drawings and technical schematics. Maintain a safe, orderly workplace and perform multi-tasked jobs with minimal supervision. This role supports the manufacturing of recycled resin wastewater treatment components for Advanced Drainage Systems.
Required Qualifications
- GED
- 5+ years relevant work experience
- Vocational training in industrial maintenance including any of the following: pneumatic, hydraulic electrical or mechanical certification
- Ability to read and comprehend prints, machine drawings, technical manuals, technical documents, and technical schematics
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by ongoing operations and projects
- Ability to regularly lift 35 lbs
- Ability to multi-task and perform jobs with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain and clean, orderly, and safe workplace
- Must be able to fabricate and assemble mechanical components for industrial equipment and machinery
- Must be an experienced welder
- Must be willing to work in a collaborative team environment by being proactive, suggesting improvements, and leading improvement efforts
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in welding
- Equipment rigging experience
- Maintenance or fabrication background with experience moving, installing, and commissioning equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
