Job Summary
Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient operations by executing a preventative maintenance program for laundry equipment, water systems, and processing machinery to minimize unscheduled downtime. Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, replace parts, and adjust equipment while prioritizing work orders and keeping accurate records in accordance with warranties. Advise the Chief Engineer on parts and supplies requirements to support cost control measures. Educate personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions, ensuring adherence to fire protection and equipment hazard standards. Operate man lifts and forklifts as needed, utilizing proper tools, safety measures, and PPE in all work actions. Maintain technical knowledge through workshops and technical publications, while cleaning and assisting with facility upkeep to ensure an orderly environment. Schedule flexibility is required for nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance position
- Valid Driver's License
- Scheduling flexibility; able to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines, preferred
- Welding experience a plus
