Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repair on facility equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems. Operate hand and power tools safely while following preventive maintenance schedules and completing required reports. Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment by testing generators weekly, check fire alarm systems and extinguishers monthly, and repair plumbing fixtures and furniture as needed. Act as backup for the call person during emergencies and respond promptly to urgent facility needs. Maintain all equipment safely to prevent accidents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in maintenance or facility operations
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades
