Job Summary
Maintenance Technician leading Planned and Preventative Maintenance across hotel operations, owning Health & Safety compliance, maintaining records/logs, chairing the Health & Safety Committee, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, managing the maintenance budget, conducting risk assessments (including RIDDOR), training staff on H&S and safety procedures (fire panel/evacuation, manual handling), responding to maintenance requests, performing routine repairs in lighting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and decorating, executing fire alarm/sprinkler/water safety tests, operating technical systems (BMS, HVAC) and hotel platforms (Opera, GXP), maintaining clean and safe workspaces, and reading energy usage/meters.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and record-keeping
- Experience with minor repairs: lighting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating
- Able to work independently and stay well organised
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Friendly, professional, and a natural team player
- Fluent English speaker with clear communication skills
- Confident using tech systems and tools
