Job Summary
Respond to assembly line equipment repair calls by diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs using technical manuals and precision tools. Document equipment qualifications, upgrades, and preventative maintenance performed in Asset Management Integrating Global Operations (AMIGO). Maintain back-up equipment and spare parts levels to support manufacturing needs, while assisting engineers in equipment operation and construction of worktables. Modify assembly lines to accommodate manufacturing demands and develop preventative maintenance plans. Mentor less senior employees and establish priorities for non-routine tasks within a quality system environment.
Required Qualifications
- NFQ level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline
- +4 years of related work experience
- equivalent combination of education and work experience
- extensive knowledge of advanced technical concepts and practices
- complete understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a functional area
- working knowledge of other related disciplines
- ability to utilise/interpret advanced numerical and statistical data and computer software programs
- ability to present documentation and analysis
- ability to resolve complex problems
- ability to perform in a quality system environment
- ability to perform complex technical assignment usually without established procedures
- ability to assist in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product
- ability to determine types of tests or develop preventative maintenance plans
- considerable judgment, initiative, creativity and leadership in troubleshooting
- ability to suggest alternatives
- ability to make recommendations for continuous quality improvement methods
- ability to mentor less senior employees in work group
- ability to offer counsel
