Job Summary
Diagnose and repair major appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, roofing, and landscaping across 72 units. Prioritize service requests under the Maintenance Lead, execute preventative maintenance programs, and inspect grounds to ensure safety. Assist with turnkey operations for vacant units, manage inventory, obtain bids, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and supervisors while teaching safe work practices. Requires EPA Certification, valid driver's license, and ability to work any day of the week including on-call shifts. Furnish personal tools and vehicle; wear company uniforms and safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Certification, Type I and II
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Other licenses and certifications as required by state and federal law
- Ability to work any day of the week, 52 weeks per year, including overtime and on-call shifts
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate general maintenance equipment and tools safely
- Ability to transport or move up to 50 pounds
- Mobility and flexibility to use ladders and access confined spaces or heights over nine feet
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures (above 90°F or below 32°F)
- Perform hands-on maintenance repairs while ensuring safety for self, residents, and fellow associates
- Wear company-specified maintenance uniforms and safety equipment as required
