Job Summary
Maintain proper functioning integrity of all relevant machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds, including carpentry, welding, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive measures to safeguard equipment against degradation while inspecting, operating, and recording maintenance work and costs. Clean, lubricate parts, manage the tool crib, and handle hazardous materials storage and labeling per company procedures. Use forklifts, hand tools, and powered equipment safely based on IOSHA guidelines, reporting failures and safety issues to leadership. Coordinate with supervisors, manufacturers, and contractors while working independently in all weather conditions. Requires flexible hours, on-call availability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent teamwork, safety knowledge, and overall facilities and industrial maintenance skills
- Exceptional knowledge of IOSHA standards and regulations
- Ability to successfully communicate with vendors, outside contractors, suppliers, and employees
- Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment
- Good physical health, energetic, and good work ethic
- Ability to consistently lift, move, pull, or push up to 50 pounds
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Must be available to work flexible hours and on-call hours as required
- Must be able to work independently as well as interact skillfully with delivery persons, customers, outside contractors, employees, and suppliers
- Must have the ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
