Job Summary
Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and repairs, including light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC-related work. Respond to work orders promptly and proactively identify maintenance issues to prevent escalation. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, and resident amenities such as pools and clubhouses while interacting professionally with residents. Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working and living environment. Assist with general property upkeep and support team members as needed. Work onsite at Apex Hudson Riverfront in Yonkers, NY, full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with required on-call rotation including occasional weekends or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience in multifamily, residential, or hospitality environments
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in general building maintenance, including handyman work, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting
- Prior experience maintaining and repairing appliances and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with tools and materials used in residential building maintenance
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment with manual dexterity and stamina, including lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must maintain a personal tool kit appropriate for completing assigned work
- Valid driver's license required to operate company-owned or personal vehicles for business purposes
- Must be available for occasional weekends or holidays
