Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Perform maintenance tasks, repair and troubleshoot complex machines, and diagnose plumbing and electrical system issues while maintaining a sense of urgency. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment, follow calibration procedures, and document inventory records for supplies. Clean maintenance shops, storage rooms, and mechanical areas, and demonstrate decision-making skills based on preventative maintenance procedures. Be a proactive team member ensuring proper coverage after or before scheduled hours to support production, and bring ideas forward for continuous departmental improvement. Comply with all health and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated willingness to learn in-depth machine maintenance and repairs
- Ability to read blueprints, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to easily change priorities
- Flexibility
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High School w/6+ years relevant experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/3-6 years relevant experience
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for entire shift
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties
- Conversant in English
Desired Qualifications
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for overtime when maintenance needs make such scheduling necessary
- Must be available for after and/or before scheduled work hours
