Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on production machines and facility equipment. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, including repairing motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, burners, and air compressors. Complete maintenance work orders, keep accurate repair logs, and read blueprints and technical guides to solve problems. Assist with simple welding, metal fabrication, and machine repairs while maintaining air lines, plumbing, and lighting. Adhere to all safety guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE practices. This 3rd shift temp-to-hire role in Gainesville, TX, supports busy manufacturing operations with overtime potential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak and read English
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work inside a manufacturing facility around active machinery, motors, and electrical systems
- Dress code requires jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a factory setting
- Strong skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems
- Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and technical guides
- Welding, fabrication, and basic machining skills
- Technical or trade school training
- Basic computer skills to keep daily work records
