Job Summary
Maintain and repair plant equipment, utility systems, and physical structures by executing cross-disciplinary work orders and conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical power/control circuits, VFDs, analytical equipment, and perform instrument calibrations while operating, servicing boilers, chillers, HVAC, and EHS-related systems. Read technical drawings and schematics to identify repair parts, utilize CMMS to log tasks, and safely operate industrial vehicles like forklifts and manlifts. Adhere strictly to safety standards for confined spaces and hot work, participate in 6S shop organization, and make critical operational decisions during weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotation programs supporting the Sheboygan facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must be available for weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotation programs
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance or other maintenance discipline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using a forklift
