Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment (conveyors, mixers, packaging, refrigeration) in a food-manufacturing setting. Performs inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and root-cause repairs to minimize downtime; troubleshoots electrical/mechanical systems including PLCs, relays, motors, drives, and sensors; maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and sanitation in compliance with GMP, HACCP, OSHA; documents work orders and maintenance procedures in the CMMS; collaborates with production, engineering, QA, and safety teams; capable of handling non-standard hours (3rd shift) and flexible scheduling; adheres to safety protocols (lockout/tagout, PPE) and supports safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, required
- 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant
- 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate a computer to support documentation in a CMMS
