Job Summary
Maintain production equipment to achieve 85%+ uptime in the assigned area. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and setups to optimize running lines and prevent breakdowns. Apply basic troubleshooting to resolve equipment and material issues; coach and collaborate with maintenance and production staff; document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate with supervisors when issues exceed thresholds. Adhere to safety procedures and company policies; stay aligned with line priorities and demonstrate strong communication across departments. Requires ability to work overtime and on-call as needed; able to operate tools and mechanical systems, including lubrication, bearings, gears, shafts, and belt-driven components.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience
- Less than two years’ experience as a maintenance technician in a similar industry or a similar mechanical field or background
- General understanding of OSHA and what it is
- Basic Mathematics
- Able to use basic workshop tools
- Knowledge of U.S. Standards of Measure and some knowledge of the equivalent Metric Units of Measure
- General ability to understand technical manuals
- Use of Windows-based PC programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
