Job Summary
Maintenance Technician 3 responsible for managing maintenance projects and handling specialized needs within assigned area (ammonia, HVAC, inspections). Duties include dismantling, installing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems; assembling and testing equipment to ensure proper installation and repairs; providing expert technical knowledge to leadership; collaborating with DC leadership on workload planning and project timelines; managing functional-area maintenance spend; ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA and company policies; maintaining up-to-date regulatory knowledge and pursuing training as needed; overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance; ensuring safety, cleanliness, and timely completion of work; and adapting to weekend/holiday/overtime requirements. The role requires basic hand tools, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a warehouse environment. Previous food distribution/manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) Required
- Driver’s License Required
- Hilo License Required
- 5-10+ years of experience
- For electrical area – Journeyman card required
- For HVAC area – mechanical certificate required
- RETA I and II certificates preferred
