Job Summary
Support and maintain critical facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, steam, purified water, and clean steam systems. Perform troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves, mixing vessels, fillers, and centrifuges. Diagnose equipment failures through data analysis and advanced troubleshooting techniques using P&IDs, schematics, PLCs, and technical documentation. Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities with production teams to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime. Lead small scale reliability, efficiency, and process improvement projects within a GMP regulated environment while creating and updating maintenance procedures. Complete maintenance records and repair logs in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and GMP requirements. Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams and support off shift, on call, and emergency maintenance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Journeyman License
- Specialized technical training
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and industrial maintenance systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Experience interpreting equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and P&IDs
- Knowledge of GMP requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project planning tools
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Availability to support off shift, on call, and emergency maintenance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school or vocational training
- Minimum of 3 years in a Maintenance Mechanic 3 role
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology operations
