Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining plant equipment and systems. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, machinery and equipment; troubleshooting machinery; performing routine preventive maintenance; reading and following manuals; inspecting machines for malfunctions; using a variety of tools; cleaning and repairing equipment; logging work in a computerized maintenance management system; and adhering to procedures. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or vocational training plus 1 year in a manufacturing plant, ability to lift/move machinery, electrical troubleshoot knowledge, read blueprints/schematics, strong problem-solving and communication skills, basic math/physics knowledge, and optional welding/PLC experience. Schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM; location Oceanside, CA; on-site work; 3-month contract with $26-$28/hour DOE. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two years of documented experience in industrial equipment maintenance or vocational training plus 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing plant
- Ability to move/lift machinery using hoisting equipment, rollers and trucks
- Ability to properly use tools and equipment such as drill presses, bench grinders, portable power and hand tools
- Electrical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors and control circuits
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics
- Preventive/Predictive knowledge and experience
- Must have required basic hand tools
- Welding a plus
- Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and communicate in English. Spanish is a plus
- PLC experience is a plus
