Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production equipment and buildings to company standards. Job duties include PC to PLC programming maintenance, troubleshooting, and control devices; use of hand tools and electric/pneumatic power tools; preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment; reading electrical schematics; diagnosing electrical and mechanical failures; setting up new equipment lines and changeovers; training production and maintenance personnel; working with minimal supervision to complete projects on due dates; working with electrical systems up to 480 VAC; strong knowledge of motor control circuits, automated valves and process controls; following GMP standards; completing daily work order logs and PMs; following parts checkout procedures; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical Maintenance preferred or High School Diploma plus at least three years of related experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Experience with a Windows-based computer system (Microsoft Office programs and Maintenance Work Order software)
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as blueprints, schematics, work orders, etc.
