Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions on manufacturing equipment and plant facilities. Implement effective repair procedures to prevent reoccurrence while navigating ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software. Modify positions and troubleshoot ABB robots across M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700 models. Perform gas and electric welding operations, install, move, and align new or existing machinery, and operate machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy. Complete repair records, handle associated duties, and maintain a neat work area. Execute preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment. Requires 4 years of experience in Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding, plus proficiency in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding
- Experience in troubleshooting die casting machine cells through the use of PLCs and electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses)
- Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults
- Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700
- Performs both gas and electric welding operations
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties
- Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence
