Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment. Performs electrical tasks (motors, switches, PE) and mechanical repairs, dismantling/assembling machines, and line changeovers. Supports the production team as the mechanical expert; utilizes CMMS for recording work; trains team members; focuses on continuous improvement and waste elimination. Requires OSHA awareness, on-time attendance, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays. Located in Topeka, KS onsite.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience working as a multi-craft industrial technician
- Basic understanding of steam generation and supply systems
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer and report writing skills
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
