Job Summary
Perform highly complex maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, PLC, robotic, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot and resolve infrequent or complex issues across multiple systems while conducting root cause analysis to prevent equipment failure recurrence. Serve as a technical leader within the maintenance team by mentoring less experienced mechanics, leading training efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional groups to implement process improvements and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Plan and execute preventative maintenance to minimize unscheduled downtime, gather technical data for performance analysis, and prepare detailed reports on modifications and repairs. Work in a 2nd shift environment with a starting pay range of $26 to $30 per hour, requiring 4+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, specifically with mechanical, electrical, PLC controls, robotics, pneumatics, and automated systems
- High School diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Previous experience leading or mentoring teams in a maintenance environment
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in bedding manufacturing or related industries
