Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on production machines and facility equipment. Complete work orders and maintain accurate repair logs while diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, burners, and air compressors by reading blueprints, diagrams, and manuals. Execute simple welding, metal fabrication, and machine repairs as needed. Assist with facility systems including air lines, plumbing, and lighting. Adhere to all safety guidelines, lock-out/tag-out rules, and PPE practices. This temp-to-hire role in Gainesville, TX, supports a busy manufacturing facility with overtime potential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak and read English
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work inside a manufacturing facility around active machinery, motors, and electrical systems
- Dress code requires jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a factory setting
- Strong skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems
- Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and technical guides
- Welding, fabrication, and basic machining skills
- Technical or trade school training
- Basic computer skills to keep daily work records
