Job Summary
Maintenance Technician position on 2nd shift (Mon-Thur 4:30pm-3am) focused on electrical trouble shooting and mechanical maintenance of packaging equipment. Responsibilities include machine installation, control wiring installations and troubleshooting to component level, PLC understanding (not programming), anchoring equipment, running conduit, pulling wire, termination of conductors, and maintenance/rebuilding of conveyors, robotics, and other line equipment. Requires five years’ experience in packaging/equipment maintenance with emphasis on electrical installation and preventative maintenance across conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers. Certifications in basic electrical/mechanical systems and schematic reading are preferred. Must be able to use basic electrical test instruments (VOM, clamp meter) and troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes, pneumatic cylinders/MAC valves, and PLC-related issues. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 5 years’ experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation, preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers
- Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading preferred
- Experience with PLCs (understanding and troubleshooting, not programming)
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments (VOM, clamp meter)
- Ability to troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes, pneumatic systems and MAC valves
- Ability to operate boom and scissor lifts
