Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for automated production equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and sensors. Perform mechanical overhauls, align gears, and manage preventive maintenance programs while reviewing work orders and logging repairs. Collaborate with operators and engineers to optimize equipment efficiency and guide service contractors during transition. Manage spare parts inventory and participate in new manufacturing equipment projects from concept through commissioning. Respond to urgent breakdowns during non-standard hours and adhere to strict safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Formal training in mechanical systems, electronic systems and controls, PLC programming/troubleshooting, electric power and electrical motors
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated cross-functional ability in troubleshooting, modifying, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on automated production equipment with PLC/HMI, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Ability to follow mechanical drawings, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, and written/verbal descriptions
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including the ability to disassemble machinery to remove parts and make repairs, reassemble, recommission
- Ability to follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and use of electrical troubleshooting tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, instrumentation and controls
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Ability to Stand for long periods of time
- Ability to respond to urgent mechanical or electrical breakdowns during non-standard business hours
