Job Summary
Repair and maintain machinery, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and electrical equipment while observing all safety rules and wearing appropriate PPE. Troubleshoot malfunctioning devices by dismantling them to replace defective parts, pull wire through conduit, and operate hand or portable power tools. Execute preventative maintenance duties, initiate purchase requisitions for parts, and operate welding equipment, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks as needed. Read blueprints and manuals to guide repairs and comply with hazard communications and lock-out tag-out procedures. Work the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm, Monday-Friday) with overtime availability, applying two years of industry experience and basic computer skills to support Hunter Engineering's automotive service equipment mission.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience in industry or a combination of education and experience of at least 2 years
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to use hand tools such as hand drills and air tools
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
- Must be able to operate a forklift, crane, and tow motor to transport materials as needed
- Must be able to operate a forklift

Desired Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
- AA degree is highly desirable
- Basic skill level of computer programs such as Microsoft Office are highly desirable
