Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and piping/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments. Visually inspect machinery prior to use, test equipment after repair, and troubleshoot inoperable systems to detect root causes. Listen for unusual sounds, feel for vibration, and communicate with users regarding variation specifics. Dismantle malfunctioning equipment, install new or repaired parts, and reassemble machinery. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program. Install and repair electrical apparatus, lay out and maintain piping systems, and repair gauges, valves, and pressure regulators. Operate cutting torches, welding equipment, and machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machinery. Perform physical structure maintenance and complete other duties as assigned.
