Job Summary
Perform repairs and diagnose issues with forklifts and manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using technical documentation. Respond to service requests, document actions in maintenance logs, and complete preventive maintenance activities recorded within the ERP system. Design and fabricate parts and safety systems using welding, milling, and grinding tools while managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime. Conduct scheduled inspections, support special construction projects, and perform general building maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. Purchase tools from approved vendors and review waste manifests for regulatory compliance. Maintain annual certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety, and DOT Hazardous Materials Handling.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
- Maintenance Technician certification or equivalent experience maintaining industrial machinery
- Ability to read micrometers and calipers and use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret circuitry, equipment drawings, machinery prints, schematics, and diagrams
- Ability to maintain accurate records and document maintenance activities
- Experience operating a forklift and the ability to successfully complete forklift certification requirements
- Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA safety practices and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain annual certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety, and in-house SWPPP programs
- Maintain DOT Hazardous Materials Handling certification as required
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical discipline related to maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial systems
- Experience supporting industrial maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment
- Documented PLC training from an accredited institution or experience with PLC, instrumentation, and control systems
- Licensed Electrician, Plumber, and/or HVAC/R Contractor certification
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives
