Job Summary
Visually inspect and test machinery, listen for unusual sounds to diagnose malfunctions, and discuss operation variations with supervisors to solve custom production requirements. Dismantle defective equipment, install new or repaired parts, and clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other components. Install and repair electrical apparatus, including transformers and wiring, while reading electrical prints. Lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, repairing gauges, valves, and pressure regulators. Repair and replace physical structures, operate cutting torches or welding equipment to fabricate metal parts, and troubleshoot PLC logic inputs and outputs. Requires three to five years of manufacturing maintenance experience with hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and a strong electronics background. Located in Mebane, North Carolina, this second-shift role supports a leading manufacturer of foams, nonwovens, and films serving automotive, marine, and HVAC markets.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance with hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
- Strong electronics background
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills including a demonstrated ability to analyze problems and implement solutions
- Ability to pay attention to detail
