Job Summary
Diagnose machine malfunctions and effect repairs and adjustments on machinery, equipment, and facilities within or outside the plant. Perform wiring, plumbing, electrical/mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation, including minor fabrication of parts using mills, lathes, and grinders. Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain facility equipment while maintaining PLCs, CNC control circuits, and primary power. Complete required paperwork, quality records, and documents, and comply with all safety and work rules. Perform competent electrical construction of conduit runs, wire pulls, and terminations, and maintain departmental housekeeping standards. May be on call to perform emergency maintenance on equipment or facility issues.
Required Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of work experience in manufacturing maintenance or equivalent work experience and education
- Demonstrated proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical operations
- Knowledge of 480v three phase, control power, AC and DC circuits including motor starters and switch gear repairs
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in shop mathematics and blueprint reading
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
- Ability to work in confined spaces and high work areas
- Proficiency with heat/temperature controls
- Associate's technical degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of gas fired burners and boilers
- Ability to operate scissor lift, boom lift, forklift
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, stretch, twist, etc
- Regularly required to use fingers and hands
- Must be able to work any shift
- Some work may be outside, including on rooftops
- Required to wear NFp7e Arc Flash uniforms provided by Copeland
