Job Summary
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance to support safe, reliable operations at our St. Elmo, Illinois manufacturing facility. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime, troubleshooting systems and fabricating parts as needed. Maintain and repair power transmission and fluid handling systems while operating shop equipment to support repairs. Train operators on equipment set-up, changeovers, safety procedures, and Operator Asset Care. Follow Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices in all activities. This role supports production for popular brands including Mrs. Butterworth's, Log Cabin, and Wish-Bone.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience with advanced electronic controls including variable frequency drives, start and stop systems, starters, and contactors, proximity switches, resistance temperature detectors, and pressure transmitters
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase motors
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems
- Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time
- Performing consistent repetitive tasks
- Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials
