Job Summary
Execute repair, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers on production equipment, including troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic malfunctions. Perform maintenance on glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems while adhering to GMPs, food safety standards, and all required PPE. Document work orders, retrieve approvals, and communicate critical maintenance information to the relieving shift. Collaborate with production teams during downtime to minimize downtime and drive improvements. Requires forklift certification, ability to read blueprints, and experience in manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Must obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Must be able to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals
- Work without supervision

- Must be able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment
- Must be able to complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers
- Must be able to communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift
- Must be able to assist in training other maintenance personnel
- Must be able to communicate with production during periods of downtime
- Must be able to work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement
- Must be able to complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders
- Must be able to report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions
- Must be able to use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety
- Must have knowledge of GMPs
- Must have understanding of Food Safety Requirements
- Must be available for Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts
- Must be able to tolerate noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Must be able to tolerate temperatures that can get very hot and/or relatively cold
- Must be able to work in a structured and supervised environment
- Must be able to work under pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, or similar demands
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years previous maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred
