Job Summary
Conduct machine installation, control wiring installations, and troubleshooting to the component level, including anchoring equipment, running conduit, pulling wire, and termination of conductors. Perform maintenance and rebuilding of conveyor systems, robotics, and other routine duties while troubleshooting PLCs, pneumatic cylinders, and MAC valves. Operate boilers and steam tunnels, and utilize basic electrical test instruments to troubleshoot sensors and photo eyes. Requires five years' experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with electrical installation focus; 2nd shift schedule from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 5 years' experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation
- Experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in the following areas: conveyors, robotics, over wrappers, palletizers, shrink wrappers, casers, air compressors, and boilers
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment
- Certifications in basic electrical, mechanical, motor control relay logic, and schematic reading
- Experience operating boom and scissor lifts
- Ability to use basic electrical test instruments to include VOM multi-meter, clamp on ampere meter, and other basic test instruments
- Ability to troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes as well as how they relate to the PLC operation
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves
- Ability to maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
