Job Summary
Maintain all plant equipment, covering emergency breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication, filter inspections, oil changes, motor and pump replacements, and plumbing. Conduct shift rounds twice per shift to inspect air compressors, chillers, water pumps, and extrusion equipment for operational functionality. Use SAP to generate work orders, track labor, and consume materials. Assess operational states of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to determine corrective actions. Report equipment deficiencies and leaks immediately. Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to high safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in extrusion
- Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial maintenance
- Basic knowledge of Compressed Air systems
- Basic knowledge of Chilled Water systems
- Basic knowledge of Recycled Water systems
- Basic knowledge of City Water systems
- Basic knowledge of Electrical Distribution Panels
- Basic knowledge of Buss Bar Disconnects
- Basic knowledge of Primary Circuit Breakers
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic welding skills
- Basic fabricating skills
- Adequate computer skills to use SAP to generate work orders
- Adequate computer skills to track labor
- Adequate computer skills to consume materials
- Ability to properly assess operational state of equipment
- Ability to determine course of action if needed
- Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
