Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Houston Classical Charter School responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional school environment across multiple campuses. Performs a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks including basic HVAC support, plumbing, carpentry, general repairs, and cleaning. Handles work orders and ticket management, communicates timelines and progress with staff, and coordinates with vendors. Requires hands-on, dependable approach, strong prioritization, and willingness to travel between campuses. Travel between campuses, occasional early mornings/evenings/weekends, and collaboration with school leadership, operations, custodial teams, and outside contractors. Minimum 2–5 years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience and a valid Texas Driver's License Class C.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License Class C
- Experience managing work orders or ticketing systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize with urgency
- Willingness and ability to travel between campuses
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
