Job Summary
Lead advanced maintenance and custodial operations to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all facilities at Stovepipe Wells, including the hotel, restaurant, gas station, and RV park. Perform repairs for basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and signage while executing landscaping duties such as pruning, sod installation, and drainage improvements. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Information System to input accurate data and actively participate in capital projects and waste management programs. Respond to maintenance needs and emergencies while adhering to strict OSHA, HazCom, and environmental safety standards. Assist the front desk with special requests and maintain equipment through proper lockout/tagout procedures. Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays, with on-site housing potentially available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years working in maintenance position
- High school diploma
- Able to work and thrive in Death Valley National Park
- Establish successful working relationships with co-workers, management and the public
- Use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making
- Working handyman skills
- Must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
- Work Location: Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site
- A flexible schedule with commuting from Pahrump, Beatty or Las Vegas will be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in landscaping, infrastructure improvements and renovations
- Working HVAC skills a plus
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Minimum 4 years working in maintenance position, and hospitality preferred
