Job Summary
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, reset or replace adjustable and wearing components, and clean, lubricate, and calibrate machinery. Diagnose motors, sensors, and PLC programs while utilizing handheld devices to create and close work orders with accurate data. Collaborate with senior technicians to perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and assist in training new technicians. Operate facility vehicles to procure parts and travel to nearby locations. Work Tuesday through Friday from 8:30pm to 6:30am, earning $32.90 to $36.90 per hour plus a shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring
- Experience in work order management
- Experience in preventive/predictive maintenance procedures
- Experience in basic blueprint and schematic reading
- Experience in electrical and electronic principles
- Experience in basic metal fabrication and welding
- Experience in industrial controls and electronics
- Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions
- Experience in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs
Desired Qualifications
- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards
- Experience with robotic operation/ maintenance
