Maintenance Technician 2 - Nightshift

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment, including electrical control circuits, PLC inputs/outputs, and pneumatic systems. Perform detailed setup on equipment with recipe changes, start up and shut down machines per established procedures, and complete mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner, adjusting settings based on Statistical Process Control data and entering all work into the computer-based maintenance program. Monitor spare parts usage, complete order forms, and train new Level 1 mechanics. Start and shut down equipment, maintain drive train components, and adhere strictly to safety policies. Work rotating 12-hour nightshifts in a manufacturing environment, responding to maintenance calls and supporting manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
- Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
- Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
- Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
- Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
- Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
- Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
- Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
- Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions
- Will use a variety hand and power tools
- May drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, fork trucks, platform lifts etc
- Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment and assistance
- Must be able to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
