Job Summary
Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, sortation, and robotics. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, rapidly restore equipment to service after breakdowns, and conduct Root Cause Analysis for failures. Clean, lubricate, and calibrate components while utilizing Emaint to create and close Work Orders with appropriate data. Assist with basic electronics and Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting, read schematics, and operate powered lift equipment. Serve as first line support for building critical assets and ensure a safe work environment by following strict safety procedures and using PPE. Monitor the worksite frequently, which may involve standing or walking for up to 8-10 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent PC competency and ability to use Laptop
- Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring
- Experience in the following areas: Work order management
- Experience in the following areas: Preventive/predictive maintenance procedures
- Experience in the following areas: Basic blueprint and schematic reading
- Experience in the following areas: Electrical and electronic principles
- Experience in the following areas: Basic metal fabrication and welding
- Experience in the following areas: Industrial Controls and Electronics
- Experience in the following areas: Assist in troubleshooting of basic Input/output functions
- Ability to operate all powered lift equipment within the facility (fork trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.)
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed as well as flex to support other shifts
- Lift and/or move product or items up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Degree from a Technical or Community College with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards
