Maintenance Technician, 2-2-3 6am to 6pm

Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility, performing both planned predictive maintenance and breakdown repair. Tasks include locating and diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, basic troubleshooting using drawings, diagrams, prints and manuals; calibrating equipment; troubleshooting electrical malfunctions; inspecting circuits for shielding and grounding; testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment; installation, maintenance, and repair activities; assisting engineers with problem diagnosis and corrective actions; cleaning and lubricating parts; adhering to OSHA regulations; following a strict preventive maintenance schedule; ordering and requisitioning parts; reporting shift metrics; maintaining maintenance logs; and contributing to a safe, team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of plant utility systems maintenance & operations
- Industrial machine repair/reliability techniques
- Skills required for machine tool functions
- Ability to work from prints/technical drawing
- 3-phase & control power & basic input & output electrical devices
- Electrical knowledge of relay logic and DC drives
- Working knowledge of evaluating electrical apparatus with ammeters, megger tests, etc.
- Understanding of technical/ non-technical documents related to design & operation of mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-motivated
- Computer skills
- Ability to interface with technical/non-technical personnel in writing specifications, maintenance, design, repair of critical process rolls and equipment
- Must regard safety as a core value; lead by example; promote safety practices
- Must be able to work in a team-based environment and show initiative
- Must demonstrate problem-solving and root-cause analysis
- Must be able to handle overtime and short-notice requests
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
