Job Summary
Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs on production equipment while executing preventative maintenance, lubrication procedures, and electro-mechanical inspections. Reconcile work assignments at shift end and communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers. Maintain, troubleshoot, rebuild, and replace auxiliary components including motors, gearboxes, servos, and electrical switches. Read technical blueprints to fabricate or modify repairs, operate machine shop equipment, and solve nonstandard problems with minimal management oversight. Collaborate across department teams and shifts to prioritize multiple tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical college or equivalent experience
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Computer literate
- Competent with volt/ohmmeter, dial indicator, micrometer, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, hoists, jacks, and test equipment
- Working knowledge of air, hydraulic, and vacuum systems
- Ability to weld, braze, and solder
- Competent with a basic diagnosis of electrical components such as switches, sensors, detectors, and motors
- Math skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
