Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging, and auxiliary machines while performing preventative and autonomous maintenance. Make improvements and updates to existing equipment and initiate cost reduction and continuous improvement projects. Document all work using Mapcon, participate in design reviews, maintain spare parts inventory, and keep the work area clean. Operate shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This full-time 1st shift role (Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM) requires 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience. nVent, a global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, reports to the Plant Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery; which includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Capable for reading and interpreting electrical schematic PLC programs and mechanical blueprints
- Ability to operate various shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs
- Knowledge of world-class manufacturing practices
- General knowledge of Injection molding machines operation and processes
- General knowledge of machine controls
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office, Mapcon and PLC's
- 3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience
